Background and Education
Peter grew up on the far North West Coast of Tasmania. He graduated from the University of Tasmania in 1973 with a Bachelor of Laws and was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Tasmania and the High Court of Australia in 1975.
The Law has enabled Peter to work in diverse places such as London and Smithton. For several years Peter was a senior lawyer with the Australian Legal Aid Office.
Peter commenced work for Finlay Watchorn in 1994 and became a partner in 1998.

Interests/ Personal Details
Outside the office Peter is President of the City of Hobart Lions Club and Secretary of the New Town Community Association Inc.
He is involved in his local Church, and is interested in music and current affairs, and if he has any time left over, there is always work to do in the garden.
Peter is married to Milley and they have three adult children.
